Packing up a picnic and jumping in the car to enjoy our beautiful country.

Hoping that as days get longer and the weather gets warmer, the time will come when we can just head off for the day without a care in the world!

πŸŽ‚ We had great plans for a Harry Potter inspire πŸŽ‚ We had great plans for a Harry Potter inspired birthday trip to London but do you know what, birthdays at home with just the family is special too ❀️

Happy 12th Birthday baba, we love you to the moon and back ❀️❀️❀️
πŸŽ… Do your children still Believe?πŸŽ… We have πŸŽ… Do your children still Believe?πŸŽ…

We have been so lucky that our eldest Lily-Belle (aged 11) still believed right up until this Summer.... we actually told her as she was heading into Big School πŸ™ˆ

✈️ The first time we visited Lapland 4 years ago, we were desperate to go before she would stop believing. We never imagined that the magic would have lasted until now!

πŸŽ… The longevity of her believing in Santa this long is definitely down to our trips to Lapland πŸŽ…

πŸ“Έ This is the Selfie that she took with the Big Man himself and her little sister Matilda during our last trip in March, just before Lockdown.

πŸŽ„ We wondered then, how different Christmas would feel this year with her not believing.... who would have thought that Christmas 2020 would be so different for us all!

β˜ƒοΈ 2020 has really made us realise how thankful we are that we made all those trips to Lapland over the years β˜ƒοΈ

❀️ We hope that all of our "Magical Lapland on a Budget" tips will help you make special memories with your little ones ❀️

Andy & Lynne
    πŸŽ… "Magical Lapland on a Budget" πŸŽ… ✈️ Wh πŸŽ… "Magical Lapland on a Budget" πŸŽ…

✈️ What airlines fly to Lapland?

You have quite a few options for flights to Lapland but for us Easyjet wins for flight times and price. We live in N.Ireland and still find travelling with Easyjet via England to be the best value. So if you live in Ireland, Scotland or Wales we still think that booking with Easyjet and staying overnight in a Premier Inn airport hotel works out to be the best value.

πŸŽ… Easyjet flies straight to Santa Claus's Official airport in Rovaniemi. They fly from London Gatwick every Wednesday and Sunday from November right through to the end of March. You can also fly from Manchester on a Monday and a Thursday.

πŸ’· How much will they cost?
Last year on release day people where able to book flights for between Β£50 and Β£100pp for December dates but they had nimble fingers. Prices can increase so much within minutes so make sure you set your budget and have thought about your dates. Obviously December is going to be peak prices so consider a date in the New Year aswell.

⚠️ BE READY TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS WHEN THEY ARE RELEASED IN EARLY APRIL.. IF YOU FOLLOW OUR PAGE YOU WON'T MISS IT! ⚠️

Norwegian Air also flies from London to Rovaniemi.

Finnair flies from London Heathrow to Kittila if you would like to stay in Levi Ski Resort. If you are travelling from Dublin, Finnair also flies from Dublin to Kittila. Both of these options have a stopover in Helsinki.

πŸš† Why not fly to Helsinki and get the overnight Santa Express train to the heart of Lapland (don't worry, there will be a post with all the information you need for the train). Norwegian, Finnair and BA all fly from London to Helsinki. If you are travelling from Dublin, KLM, Finnair and Lufthansa all fly to Helsinki but some have stopovers.

Finally, TUI and Finnair both fly to Kuusamo which is close to Ruka Ski Resort.
